The back of this booth is made in two layers: an upper band of black leather stitched into vertical channels, and a lower lumbar panel in a green and white leaf print. The result is a booth that looks tailored and still has some warmth.
The body is solid walnut, shown with panelled timber ends and fronts, in single wall runs, back-to-back pairs and corner layouts. Square tables with a black top and walnut frame stand on crossed timber bases. Armchairs with a curved walnut frame and woven cane back, upholstered in a rust print, are used on the aisle side.
Practical details. The channel stitching hides creasing in the leather over time. The leaf panel and seat are upholstered separately, so the part that gets leaned on and spilled on can be re-covered without remaking the leather back.
Where it works. Chinese and Asian restaurants, tea houses, hotel dining and casual dining.
Options. Number of channels, panel fabric, leather or PU, length, square or rectangular tables, chair fabric.
