The Walnut Cradle Slipper Chair sets a soft upholstered body inside a shaped timber frame. The seat is a deep oatmeal cushion with a curved back that wraps slightly round the sides; the frame below is sculpted solid timber, with feet that flare out and rear posts that rise up the back of the chair and finish in rounded tops.
The effect is part lounge chair, part dining chair: comfortable for a long coffee, upright enough for a small table.
Coverings first. Because most of what you see is fabric, this chair is a good place to use a lower-impact covering. We upholster in wool, recycled-content polyester or natural blends specified for contract use, and keep cover patterns on file so a re-cover fits exactly.
Construction. Solid timber cradle frame with bolted joints, upholstered body on a plywood and hardwood core, foam over webbing. The body lifts out of the cradle, so it can be re-upholstered off site while the frame stays.
Where it works. Hotel lounges, café corners, bar lounges and private dining rooms with low tables.
Options. Stain, fabric and a two-seat version.
