A low back keeps sightlines open across a room, which is why this bench suits cafés and bakeries where people sit for a coffee rather than a three-course meal.
The bench is a single long seat with a charcoal leather finish and a squared front edge, and a slim oatmeal back pad in a linen-look weave that rises only part way up the wall. It sits on a recessed dark walnut plinth.
Mixing materials. Pairing a wipe-clean leather seat with a woven back is a sensible split: the seat takes spills and wear, and the back, which mostly meets shoulders, can be a softer fabric. We can make the back in wool, wool-blend or recycled-content polyester and pass on supplier data sheets for any environmental claim. The seat can be leather or a contract PU.
Construction. Plywood frame, high-resilience foam, separately upholstered seat and back pad, timber plinth.
Where it works. Cafés, bakeries, wine bars and window runs in restaurants.
Options. Length, back height, fabrics, plinth finish.
