Two solid blocks and a stone top: about as simple and as long-lived as a restaurant table gets. The top is white sintered stone with grey veining and thin warm gold lines, set inside a bronze metal edge band that is deeper than most, so it reads as a clean, strong frame.
Beneath it, a bronze-coloured metal cap bridges two wide, rectangular blocks in walnut-tone timber. With only two supports the table has no corner legs, so guests can sit on any side, and the blocks are wide enough to feel very stable. The timber shows its natural grain, which will mellow and can be re-oiled.
Built to be maintained. The timber blocks can be refinished on site, and the stone is non-porous and does not need sealing. The metal cap makes the base easy to take apart for transport or replacement.
Where it works. Two-person tables in front of booths, bistros, hotel restaurants and wine bars.
