Bamboo grows quickly: the moso bamboo used for engineered panels typically reaches harvestable maturity in around three to five years, compared with decades for hardwood trees. In this booth, side panels, back frame and square legs are made from engineered bamboo, strips of bamboo pressed and bonded together, showing their parallel grain and node marks under a matte clear lacquer.
Engineered bamboo is dense and hard, and takes daily commercial wear well. Because it is bonded with adhesive, the emission class of that adhesive matters; we ask the panel supplier for emission data and specify panels to your market's requirements.
The seat and back cushions are upholstered in any contract fabric and can be supplied with zip-off covers. The warm straw tone suits bright cafés, Asian-inspired restaurants and casual dining rooms.
