The Open-Seam Access Booth is built to be opened. A concealed zip runs along the side of the seat box; pull it back and the foam block is right there, ready to be inspected, rotated or swapped. Most booths hide their foam under stapled fabric, so a flattened seat means a full re-upholstery. Here it means a new foam block and ten minutes.
The example shown is upholstered in an oatmeal textured weave with ochre piping along every edge, topped by a brushed brass capping rail on the back. It stands on a dark timber plinth carrying a small brass plate, which we use as a place for the parts record: foam grade, fabric reference and production date, so whoever services it later knows what to order. A small fabric tab on the side holds the same information inside the cover.
Construction. Hardwood and plywood frame, seat box with zipped side access, back upholstered over a separate panel, plinth fixed with screws rather than glue.
Options. Length, back height, fabric (wool, recycled-content polyester or your own), piping colour, capping rail finish and plate engraving. Spare foam blocks and covers can be ordered with the booth.
